Bandwidth is a measurement of the information carrying capability that an ISP or hosting company can support.  The higher the bandwidth the more information can pass through it with out slowing down, i.e. 128kbps bandwidth can carry twice as much data than 64kbps bandwidth.                                                                                     IBG Hosting currently has 4Mbits Bandwidth over 2 independent connections direct to Telehouse®.  This cap can be increased to any limit in about 5 minutes.  This is possible due to one of our independent connections being a 'microwave' link.  As it is not a 'physical line' there is no 'physical' restriction as to how much bandwidth we can acquire.  Therefore we effectively have an unlimited source of bandwidth should we require it.

Excess Bandwidth 

If for example you were hosting your web site on a virtual server with IBG Hosting, this would permit 5gb of data transfer per month.  If you exceeded this limit without prior agreement the following excess charges will apply.
